Why
do I need a filter?
(Download
K9 Web Filter for Free)
Children are sponges and soak up everything around them. They look
to you as a parent for help and guidance. A pro-active stance on
media protection not only puts up a safety net to allow your children
to surf the web without worrying, but stands as a symbol that you
are looking out for their well-being.

The

Periodically check the Internet Activity log. The activity log
can be found by clicking on the K9 Icon on your desktop and then
clicking "Activity Log". Off limits websites are coded
in red. (Don't be alarmed if there are a few red sites: not all
of them are bad.)
V-Chip or TV Filter Setup
TV is no longer the controlled environment it was a few years ago.
Even so-called family programming can stray to edges of sexual,
violent and blasphemous content. The V-Chip (violence chip) is a
filering device that has been placed in every television over size
since date. It will only take you a few minutes to set up.
|
- In your TV menu, navigate to "Parental Controls"
or "V-Chip".
- Next enter the 4-digit V-Chip password found in the
TV Manufacturer's Guide.
- If you don't have the guide, try these default codes:
0000, 1111, 1234, 9999.
- Suggested Settings:
We suggest blocking TV 14, TV MA and TV NR. (Even
teen ratings can have explicit content.)
